The Green transformation towards Carbon neutrality has been an irreversible general trend for manufacturing and business enterprises in ASEAN countries to realize the goals of the Paris Agreement 2015 and COP26.

The Green transformation in ASEAN presents a significant opportunity for sustainable development, but it requires coordinated efforts among businesses to overcome the challenges. Emphasizing senior training, investment, and regional cooperation will be essential in realizing the potential benefits of this transformation.

How can the Energy Sector in general and ASEAN Leaders play a strong role and pioneering sustainable initiatives to contribute to the carbon neutrality goal in ASEAN?

SMU - VIETSTAR: CONTRIBUTING TO ENERGY TRANSITION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN ASEAN

At the Vietnam Singapore Board Forum (VSBF 2024), the region's scholars, economists, and leaders stated that energy transition is an inevitable and irreversible trend for businesses, especially in areas such as energy in ASEAN countries.

This transition has attracted significant interest from international investors, research and development organizations, and technology partners, driving a surge in ESG investment into the energy sector. Recognizing this context and understanding the challenges of energy transition in ASEAN, VSBF Forum, VIETSTAR and SMU have jointly developed the 1 Year Programme Asean Fellowships In Energy Sustainability
